Jeannette's 2006 Mustang GT

Jeannette is a CPA and, as such, is not prone to impulsive decisions...CPA's are generally methodical, calculated, and rational. All of those traits went by the wayside when Jeannette first saw her '06 GT.

She was at the car dealer's on a routine service visit with her '03 Mach I. While waiting for her car to be done she took a stroll through the showroom to get a cup of coffee and, there was THE car. It's not just an '06 GT but, a highly tricked out ride. It has been customized with the Cervinis "Eleanor" Body Kit, Steeda's Performance Suspension Handling Package, Steeda Cold Air Intake, Magnaflow Side-Exit Exhuast, Polished Aluminum Engine Accessories, Custom Tuned Chip, and Two-Tone Leather Interior. The custom chip, exhaust and better breathing intake push the horsepower of the 4.6L V8 up to 340 ponies.

As soon as she saw the car she knew she had to have it. It reminded her of her favorite Matchbox collector cars and was painted in her favorite color of blue. Demonstrating what an easy mark she was to be, she approached a salesman (instead of the other way around) to begin the dialogue about the car. The rookie salesman who knew nothing about Mustangs must have thought selling cars was easy based on the speed at which this particular transaction took. She had the keys in her hand by the time the old Mach I was ready. We've all heard the stories of people taking their car in for an oil change and going home with a new vehicle...in Jeannette's case, it actually happened.

During the time that Jeannette has owned the car, she has installed Lokar billet foot pedals and changed the rear end from a 3:31 to a 3:71 so that she can get off the line quicker when racing her colleagues at accounting conventions.

For Jeannette's sake let's hope that the next time she goes in for service that there is not a new Shelby GT-500 on the showroom floor...it would be way more economic for her to learn how to change her own oil!
